CANbike now has a Pinterest account for those that enjoy a visual layout. It's currently a work in progress, but a few boards will be created with pins pointing to content on this website.

In addition, other boards may also be created with bonus content pointing to items from around the web.

Note, the boards containing pins linking to will clearly be marked in the description.

Why the Pinterest Account?

First, It Provides an Alternative Visual Carded Layout

Frankly, is heavily text based and designed around the articles. It's simple, clean, and fast. Theres' no plans to change things in the long term as it's a hobby website/personal blog. However, the number of articles is growing quickly and diversly.

A visual index would be nice and that's where Pinterest fills the void. The Pinterest boards act as categories, while the pins act as the articles. Click on the pin for a view of the cover image, and click on the cover image to be taken to the article. It's a great way to complement the textual layout of this website.

For example, a number of external storage devices have been benchmarked on this website. See Benchmarked Data Storage Devices. Now checkout for a visual glance of USB storage devices benchmarked. Click a pin to display a larger image, and click the larger image to read the benchmark on this website. Pretty nifty stuff.

Second, Possible Bonus Content

Pinterest is great for pinning and organzing items from around the web. It's still in the early planning stages, but it will also be used to pin social media items from CANbike, and maybe other items from around the web. As a result, the Pinterest CANbike account will also index more than just items from
