It's the Victoria Day long weekend. What better way to enjoy it than a Saturday morning mountain bike ride at Puslinch Tract!
Weather was good. It was partially cloudy with a temperature of 15 °C. Slightly cooler temperatures, but it means less sweating from the heat.
Trails were in great shape. There was a lack of debris in most areas, and the trails were dry. Pond water levels were quite high in the low lying flood zones, but the trails near them were dry and ridable.
Mosquitoes were out though and becoming aggressive. Rest for more than 5 minutes and they will start biting. At least it gives additional incentives to keep on biking.
Lots of trail users were out and about this morning. Upon arrival in the parking lot, there were at least ten cyclists. There were also the usual dog walkers, hikers, and joggers. During the ride, I also encountered a large group of youths being taken mountain biking on the double tracks. It was great to see them exercising and enjoying the trails.
Have a happy Victoria Day long weekend!
