Trail Report: Kelso Conservation Area (05/16/13)

The weather has warmed up again and the rain stopped a couple days ago. Of course this meant a quick afternoon mountain biking trip to Kelso.

The sun was bright, skies were blue, and the temperature was around 20 °C.

Trails were in fantastic shape. Nice and dry.

It was also nice to see lots spring green colors. However, some of the weeds have grown to over a foot tall and were encroaching onto the trails.

There was still a little bit snow on the ski hills, but the fire road up the slopes was dry.

On the escarpment edge and the ski hills, lots of Turkey Vultures were flying around.

Kelso was busy this afternoon. Lots of cyclists and hikers were out enjoying the trails.

Trail Conditions: Great!
