Trail Report: Hydrocut (05/06/13)

According to a May 1, 2013 tweet from WCC Trails the Hydrocut was now open for mountain biking. The only exception would be the Frankenstein trail. However, on May 6, 2013 the post Frankenstein Drainage Issues – You May Able to Help Source the Answer announced the Frankenstein trail as being rideable provided the pond is crossed in certain manner.

With the sun shining brightly, and a temperature of 22 °C it meant sneaking off for an afternoon trip to the Hydrocut.

All the trails except Frankenstein, were in fantastic shape! They were dry, groomed, and flowy. No mosquitoes and no debris made biking the trails even better.

The only questionable spot was the one section on Frankenstein where the pond was overflowing. Other than that, the rest of Frankenstein was dry and in great shape.

Despite, it being a Monday afternoon the trails were busy. Lots of cyclists were entering and leaving the parking lot.

Trail Conditions: Great!
