Trail Pictures: Guelph Lake (02/23/14)

This morning the Canadian Men’s Hockey Team beat Sweden 3-0 to win the gold medal. Yay! To celebrate a trip was made to Guelph Lake for some winter biking fun.

In the past few days, there was snow followed by warm temperatures and rain. Surely there would be ice? To be safe, bike was equipped with studded tires.

The Riverside parking lot and city paths were a sheet of slick ice.

The double track and single track, on the other hand, lacked ice. They were in surprisingly good shape as they consisted of firmly packed encrusted snow. However, they were very bumpy due to numerous 2” ruts. Wide knobby tires would of been more appropriate if I was only biking the trails.

Trail Conditions: Good but Bumpy Fun!

Ouch! People were Slipping and Sliding on these City Trails. I Stopped to Help. They were Okay.
